The School of Interdisciplinary Studies (SIDiS) at IIT Madras
was established to meet the growing demand for engineers and researchers who can work across disciplines and contribute to emerging technological and sustainability challenges. Through collaborative research and innovation, SIDiS brings together experts from applied science, engineering, technology, and policy to solve complex problems. It operates through seven dedicated clusters and offers uniquely interdisciplinary academic programs.
